Following the trip to Argentina, Heidi Danbrook and Carlos Moosemayer, Gilbert’s Brazilian Sales Agent, visited many planermills across beautiful Brazil. Gilbert presently have 4 planer installations in South America, 3 being in Brazil : Millpar in Guarapuava, Lavrama in Coronel Dominigos Soares, south Brazil and Urbem close by Carlos’s hometown Curitiba.

On Monday, the team met with Millpar’s project management team for the preparation of the Gilbert Ripsaw Module installation in June. This module will be added after the Gilbert Planer that was installed in 2016. It will be used to rip the boards into 2 or more pieces and will help eliminate a complete offline ripsaw operation.
